Sunday we headed down the road to pay a visit to the Hoover Dam. Before we made our way to the dam, we pulled over to what we thought was an overlook for the new Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, but to our pleasant surprise it was actually the entrance to the pedestrian walkway across the bridge. We were amazed by the views of the Dam and the surrounding area from 880 feet above the Colorado River. After walking across the bridge and back, we went down to the Hoover Dam visitor center. Unfortunately all of the Dam tours were sold out for most of the day, so we made up our own tour walking across the dam, taking plenty of pictures along the way.We definitely do not have enough time to fit everything in that we want to do here. Short of going out on the weeknights, we are doing our best to fit in as much as possible.
Here are the rest of the pictures.
How did you find a 10 foot tall person to take your picture at the dam?
ReplyDeleteSince retiring, Yao Ming has found himself a nice little photography gig. You know, to help pay the bills.
